Artist's Bio

Coming to the United States at a young age, Carlos, early on internalized many of the realities of his native land - from corrupt politics, elderly beggars, and scenic sites. It is patently clear, from his current work and colorful mastery, that these years impacted him decisively.

As a young child, he spent much of his free time watching cartoons. An avid fan of the shapes and colorful figures on the screen marked the beginning of his artistic bent, which soon led to the artist’s first drawings. It was thus early, after age five, that young artist's inclination and talent began to take root and be noticed.

Moving to the United States in the year 2000, the artist began elementary school and continued to draw and develop his talent. During these early years, Carlos created his own fictional cartoon characters and took a great interest in primates and animal life (particularly exploring and studying their biology). This fascination with the solaces of nature would help further his advancement. As I child I became enchanted by animal encyclopedias and was particularly fascinated by the Bonobo. A primate, interestingly enough, that shares 98.5% of the same DNA as humans. Their wonderful physical appearance was the point of my interest.

After graduation, he started college in search of self but without clear purpose. Not to study art, at first, but to follow the prescribed path of society. Then, again inspired by new ideas to create art by his strong interest in nature he began a series of paintings of natural and social life based on subjects he learned from personal realizations.

Carlos has begun to focus on making a career of his artistic talent and is currently painting a streamline of new artwork to finally make it as a professional artist.
